Ingredients:

  • Rethink Foods Tandoori Tempeh Tikki (frozen)
  • Burger buns (whole wheat or your choice): 4
  • Butter or oil: for toasting
  • Lettuce leaves: 4
  • Tomato slices: 8
  • Red onion slices: 8
  • Cucumber slices: 8
  • Cheese slices (optional): 4
  • Tandoori mayo or regular mayonnaise: as needed
  • Pickles (optional): for serving

Instructions:

  1. Heat the Tandoori Tempeh Tikki:
    • Take the frozen Rethink Foods Tandoori Tempeh Tikki out of the freezer and let it thaw for a few minutes.
    • Heat a pan over medium heat. Add a little oil or butter to the pan.
    • Once the pan is hot, place the Tandoori Tempeh Tikki in the pan.
    • Cook for 4-6 minutes on each side until heated through and slightly crispy. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Buns:
    • Cut the burger buns in half. Spread a thin layer of butter or oil on the inside of each bun half.
    • Toast the buns in the same pan or on a griddle over medium heat until golden brown and slightly crispy.
  3. Assemble the Burger:
    • Spread a layer of tandoori mayo or regular mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
    • Place a lettuce leaf on the mayo.
    • Add a slice of tomato, red onion, and cucumber on top of the lettuce.
    • Place the heated Rethink Foods Tandoori Tempeh Tikki on top of the vegetables.
    • If using cheese, place a slice on the hot Tikki so it melts slightly.
    • Add another layer of tandoori mayo or mayonnaise on the top half of the bun.
  4. Finish the Burger:
    • Place the top half of the bun on the assembled burger.
    • Press down gently to secure the ingredients.
  5. Serve:
    • Serve the Tandoori Tempeh Tikki Burger warm with a side of pickles, fries, or a fresh salad.
