Ingredients:
- Rethink Foods Tandoori Tempeh Tikki (frozen)
- Burger buns (whole wheat or your choice): 4
- Butter or oil: for toasting
- Lettuce leaves: 4
- Tomato slices: 8
- Red onion slices: 8
- Cucumber slices: 8
- Cheese slices (optional): 4
- Tandoori mayo or regular mayonnaise: as needed
- Pickles (optional): for serving
Instructions:
- Heat the Tandoori Tempeh Tikki:
- Take the frozen Rethink Foods Tandoori Tempeh Tikki out of the freezer and let it thaw for a few minutes.
- Heat a pan over medium heat. Add a little oil or butter to the pan.
- Once the pan is hot, place the Tandoori Tempeh Tikki in the pan.
- Cook for 4-6 minutes on each side until heated through and slightly crispy. Set aside.
- Prepare the Buns:
- Cut the burger buns in half. Spread a thin layer of butter or oil on the inside of each bun half.
- Toast the buns in the same pan or on a griddle over medium heat until golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Assemble the Burger:
- Spread a layer of tandoori mayo or regular mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
- Place a lettuce leaf on the mayo.
- Add a slice of tomato, red onion, and cucumber on top of the lettuce.
- Place the heated Rethink Foods Tandoori Tempeh Tikki on top of the vegetables.
- If using cheese, place a slice on the hot Tikki so it melts slightly.
- Add another layer of tandoori mayo or mayonnaise on the top half of the bun.
- Finish the Burger:
- Place the top half of the bun on the assembled burger.
- Press down gently to secure the ingredients.
- Serve:
- Serve the Tandoori Tempeh Tikki Burger warm with a side of pickles, fries, or a fresh salad.
